Eileen and I met up with our ex-colleagues (Audrey, Margie & Siew Chin) from Learning Vision today after class.. Initially we wanted to go to NYDC(New York Dessert Cafe) however, due to the extremely LONG queue, and their refusal to seat us due to not everyone being present, we decided to change place and headed to BIG-O opposite instead.
Well it was nice catching up with everyone.. talked about the kids and how they were progressing.. and even about Lasik surgery! Haha, cure myopia once and for all! No more contact lenses and spectacles! Saves all the hassle.
Food was not too bad.. shared with Eileen-in order to have enough room for desserts. =) Sharing was a bad idea, cause the food barely filled my stomach. (The food btw took quite some time to arrive, and i was practically starving by then). Thankfully to something called "water", it managed to fill my rather empty tummy. When we finally downed our yummilicious Mochachinno Chessecake, (however u spell that) i can safely say that i was full. satisfied. *nods*
And the bill.. crumbling cheese puffs!!! the service charge and GST were sufficient to get us another plate of Linguine Pasta (lah!) And their service wasn't exactly good and efficient either... OH WHATEVER!!!!!
-------
Anyway, i ought to learn to be more gentle at times. I broke the toilet flush. For a moment i thought my toilet flushing days would be back to philippines style (in IFL) again- i.e. a scoop and a bucket of water. But by the time i reached home, it was all fixed! hurray for flushable toilets!
-------
School ends at 11 tomorrow! Was so darn tempted to just conveniently miss classes. BUT!!!! I have a mini filming after that at Jolene's place. argh!! So much for a end-class-early-can-go-home-and-sleep-or-go-out new year's eve. And i have no idea what are we really going to do tomorrow.. what and how are we going to film.. its all so unclear! And i wonder who is going to do the editing.. or who knows how to do the editing...
-------
Will prolly head back home after that.. to get some decent rest before going down to church for watchnight service at 10pm.. i so need proper rest.. Have been reaching home late so frequently these past weeks..*guilty*
-------
Once January comes my schedule is so going to be more hectic.. that is a sure guarantee. Don't I look forward to it all: presentations..tests..projects deadlines..field assessments...lesson plans..
-------
My school is collecting some basic medical and food stuffs for the people hit by the tsunamis.. my class even had some donation thingy.. well its good to know that people all around the world are trying to do their best, doing their little bit in reaching out a helping hand, making the world a better land...
This is my own personal writing space. I'm am free to write wadever i want, and to express meanings in my OWN way. So if YOU are NOT happy with anything i write, u can just close the window, and get out. peace.

Happenings all around
i knowwwww... its been AGES since i last updated.. hmm not really in the mood to blog for some reason. Either i'm too lazy, or i just lost the interest to blog.
Suddely i feel like switching back to LJ too. HAHA...feel like.
But anyway, Christmas was great!! Really enjoyed this year's Christmas.. =) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (still have another 8 days left of Christmas!!)
But yeah, back to the sad reality. School during the December holidays. I have to buck up soon and start on all my assignments. Into my fourth week of the semester, and what have i learnt? Almost nothing. Geri, can u please WAKE up?!?!?! *bangs head*
The tsunami disaster is like, so devastating!!(and depressing) the death toll is like increasing and increasing!!! really saddens me... To think all of us take our safety in Singapore for granted. And while we are here complaining about minor little things, people at the other side are dying, have lost their homes, families and everything they ever owned.
(yah that goes for you too geri, keep complaining and complaining. is that all u can do???)
okie!! Fineeeeeeeee..

Angel's Touch
Went to watch a performance by YekLing's friend's church with my mum... It was called Angel's Touch- its a play on Christmas.. And it was nice!! It involved a typical Singapore family setting and two angels were sent to help them realize the true meaning of Christmas. So they did it through doing a series of flashbacks. Like a hillside just outside Bethlehem, to see the shepherds, and hear the proclamation of Jesus's birth...
The play had an "Angel Choir" who sang inbetween the scenes so its a little like a musical.. I also especially liked the part where the children dressed up as sheep and "baaaaa-ed" at abt the same time.. sooo cuteee!!!! haha. Anyway, the finale song was "We Are the Reason". gosh, i just love that song!!!
All in all, i thought everyone acted well, though there were some parts where the people forgot their lines, they recovered fairly quick. I mean, its not easy to perform live on stage in front of so many people, and they are not professionals.. so yeah, i think they did a good job.. =)
-------
As little children
We would dream of Christmas morn'
Of all the gifts and toys
We knew we'd find
But we never realized
A baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives
We were the reason
That He gave His life
We were the reason
That He suffered and died
To a world that was lost
He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live
As the years went by
We learned more about gifts
The giving of ourselves
And what that means
On a dark and cloudy day
A man hung crying in the rain
All because of love, all because of love
I've finally found the reason for living
It's in giving every part of my heart just to Him
In all that I do every word that I say
I'll be giving my all just for Him, for Him
sigh, i just love christmas!!!

Second week
urgh.. down with the flu. My stoopid clogged nose.. anyway, went to see the doctor today after lectures. I hope to recover completely before Christmas!! And the medication is supposed to make me drowsy. Apparently, its not working.. i'm still wide awake. Or maybe its due to the laughing session i had with bev earlier on..
overall, the entire week has been fine..though it was rather busy. It still is actually. Hmm, that's why i haven't been updating.
Random thoughts (again)
-The weeks are improving!!!
-haha, Gollum. (bev, rmb the lady at Pam's X'mas presentation?? lolz)
-I can't wait for Sat.
-Athel & CO wants to go swimming!!! yes!!!!
-Passed BTT!! -much thanks to Eileen!!=)

Thoughts of the week
-Stress is a major understatement.
-F.P is seriously harzardous to one's health.
-Having a F.P tutorial is not the way you want to end the week with.
-F.P can give one such overwhelming feeling of dread.
-This is so NOT the right time to feel tired.
-Patience is important.
-Have confidence & faith in oneself(and God)does help.
-Its really easy to start "hyperventilating".
Welcome to the wonderful world of assignments!*Taa-Daa*(to think i dedicated a small section to my beloved F.P)

Off to a Slow Slow Start
HA!
well, school this week can only be described by one word. S.L.O.W. Gosh, time has never passed so slowly before!!
But yeah, been feeling sooooo brain-dead/zombified/stoned the whole week. Face shows it all. And is it THAT obvious?? haha. so many people have asked me if i'm alright. Either that or, if i am very tired. yeepppp! just feeling soo tired...simply lacking the energy to do things. its like i can't wait to go home to just, lie down and rest. bleah, i do hope i'm not coming down with anything.. (though of course there are the sudden bursts of energy at random parts of the day..)
i like my lecturers!!!!!!! Getting back many same ones.. goody!! =)
goody. Bev is coming back soon. About time girl!!

HhhMmm
I am not racking my brains for a title. Not now anyway.
haha my lecturer is talking away about...(actually i dunno about what-some boring introduction on some issue) and here i am typing away on the computer. Yep having my first IT lecture. Why doesn't she START the lessons?? Start it ALREADY!!! Everyone has the same glazed look on their faces. Either that or they are busily typing something at their computer. Why am i not surprised? haha. *Guilty*
OMG! She is teaching us the very BASICS. "Click the Start button". "Click "Explorer". haha like, everyone is already logged onto msn and surfing without her even having to teach/ask us. Does she think we are dumb or sth?
-___-!!!
-------
Why doesn't anyone wanna use the school's pool?! Please!! For crying out loud! No one will want to look!!
-------
okiee!! Lesson is STARTING!! Later!

Testify to Love
All the colors of the rainbow
All the voices of the wind
Every dream that reaches out
That reaches out to find where love begins
Every word of every story
Every star in every sky
Every corner of creation lives to testify
*Chorus
For as long as I shall live
I will testify to love
I'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough
With every breath I take
I will give thanks to God above
For as long as I shall live
I will testify to love
From the mountains to the valleys
From the rivers to the sea
Every hand that reaches out
Every hand that reaches out to offer peace
Every simple act of mercy
Every step to kingdom come
All the hope in every heart will speak what love has
done
All the voices of the wind
Every dream that reaches out
That reaches out to find where love begins
Every word of every story
Every star in every sky
Every corner of creation lives to testify
*Chorus

Basic Theory
The computers were down today. So we took the written tests instead-Which is actually better, considering that the questions wouldn't be animated, hence a teeny bit easier. But i took the trial test like, four times in an hour. haha passed the first three attempts but failed on the fourth. But yeah, the FINAL test results would only come one week later. so its waiting time for now! Then i have to decide if i want to sign up for classes at the driving school or get a private instructor.. any recommendations?
Eileen was saying the module i missed today was SUPER SUPER BORING. why am i not surprised?
My mother keeps pronouncing Eiffel Tower as "Elle-Fee" tower.. haha so cute.
Went to trim(cut?) my hair today. it was really getting so unmanageble. The hairdresser seemed to just cut chunks of my hair out at random. You should have seen the way he cutted it. i don't know to be amused or worried. Though now, my head feels lighter, and i am still thinking & deciding if i like the hair cut or not. But both hairdressers who cutted my hair told me to go straighten it. HAHAHA. erm, NAHHHHHHH. i've had enough of straight hair for now.(but knowing me, i change my mind fairly easily..)
and I can't wait for tomorrow!

Froggerlicious
Frogs are JUST so tasty. (*licks lips* Mmmm..mmmm!)
Poor frogs.
(we should have caught the frogs in philippines and cooked them eh? hiak hiak)
haha.. met my mother after church and we had frog legs for dinner, together with Auntie Daisy. I didnt know my mum had company!! Fineeeeee. But nevertheless, the frogs were good.
Ribbit.
my basic theory is tomorrow! And so far i've only read through the book once? haha i can't really be bothered right now actually. I've got SO MUCH on my mind!! SO much until i dunno what! Makes sense? Ever felt that way?? Yeppp.
so xiannnnn.
Random thought: There's going to be so much going on during Christmas that i have to make up my mind which functions to attend! argh.. then if i don't attend certain functions, the people from that function are bound to make noise... am i right?? sigh. Decisions decisions...
~Give me back my holidays!!~
Tell me if u r looking forward to school. Anyone out there?? hurhur..

Home Sweet Home
i'm finally back home... and what can i say?! The experience is definately rewarding...=)
But it was all very "happening".. like upon arrival, the whole team got delayed at the customs due to the medical supplies. That took some time to settle and clear before we were finally free to proceed with our schedule. We thought that they would actually confiscate the supplies, but thank God everything went smoothly. Come to think of it, everything (more or less) went by smoothly...
The living conditions were much better than expected. I was preparing for worser conditions. haha-But heyy, i'm not complaining! We had beds at both places(IFL-Institute for Foundational Learning & BSWC-Bible Study and Worship Centre) And yes, i have learnt to be more appreciative of the things i have at home. Like, hot water, my bed, toliets that can flush properly, drinkable water from the taps.. simple things like that.
Managed to go to the mall on one of the days too! 4 of us-denice, wenhao, chris & i plus another two adults..Took a tricycle and jeepney there.. enjoyed it!! Haha and the mall experience was so hilarious...
So basically we did medical.. a little outreach to the people in the communtities.. and in a way, the kids there are like, "stress-free". I think they are much happier there even without the air-con, computer and television. So yeah, we headed up to BSWC on day 4.. the journey there took almost 12 hours!! Due to many stops to get groceries and supplies..but the living conditions there was even better that in IFL. So we had good comforting rests and baths for a while.. =) We had to pump water up from a pump.. thought it was pretty cool actually. We were supposed to go up to the mountains t.o continue the medical work, but due to the typhoon, we were adviced to go back to IFL.
Back at IFL, we helped to dig canals to ensure a smoother drainage system. The others were also all busy preparing for the typhoon to hit. but Thank God the typhoon passed us without any damages... and my parents back home were sooo worried.. even more worried than me!
haha and thank God i didn't fall sick while i was there.. but my nose is starting to clog up and throat is getting a little sore.. blah. And school starts next week!!!!
so its back to school for 14 weeks before another break comes along... on the 4th April i think?? =)
