Read if you dare
Was happily talking to Jolyn on the phone, minding my own business, when i spotted, or rather, HEARD something. You know, the "piak piak piak" sounds you'll hear when an insect flies and hits against the light? Yep. THAT sound.
I looked up and lo and behold, it was a GIGANTIC FLYING COCKROACH!!!!!!!!!!! *hair stands*
Alright. Now, i am perfectly okay with cockroaches that CRAWLS. As long as i avoid it, it will leave me alone. But it being in my house and not to mention, sprouting WINGS is another story altogether.
So i was using my cushion as a shield in case the cockroach decides to "attack" me. And i was "screaming" when the THING flew within a one metre radius of me. Told Jolyn i had to get off the phone and hide. IMMEDIATELY!
Ran to my mum's room , and my mummy stirs in her sleep. I frantically announce that there is this HUGE FLYING COCKROACH and "begs" her to kill it. (DIE ROACH DIE!!!!!) She calmly took a newspaper and wacked the unsuspecting roach, who was by now, crawling on the wall.
Well, it didn't die. Probably the hit only caught it offguard. So, it dropped to the floor, behind the couch. And when we looked, (actually it was my mum who looked, i was still keeping my one metre radius. i merely peeped.)it was GONE! It had performed some disappearing act. My mum told me she couldnt find it, and although i was uneasy, i had no choice! i only hoped that it wouldn't find its way into my room..
Upon coming out of the shower, and attempting to continue where i left off at the computer, i spotted a movement at the corner of my eye. ta-daa! *cockroach appears* and it was in front of me!!! crawling on... (this is hilarious) the BAYGON spray can. Ha Ha Ha!!!
I yell. "Mummy!!! I found the cockcoach!!!" (Nothing to be proud of) and she comes out again. i was screaming, and she calls me: "XIAO".
Gosh, my mummy is so brave. *applaude please*
So she wacks it a second time, and it went somewhere! (Yet another disappearing act! Gosh is this roach a houdini in disguise or what?!) And my laptop was there!! I refused to go near it, and i HAD to shut it down, somehow. I ask my mum to search carefully! By then i was already preparing NOT to sleep, in case i wake up with IT nearer to me that i would have liked it.
Finally, she spots it at the corner of the kitchen door's wall. With one mighty SLAP she kills it.
*standing ovation*
*geri's evil MWUAHAHAHAHAHHAHA laugh*
You cannot possibly imagine how relieved and thankful i was at that moment.
It was REALLY HUGE lah!! Say, around the length of my thumb?? Eeks!! All brown, big & ugly.
i hope i don't get nightmares.
On a brighter note, at least i can sleep in my room!! =)
p/s. i cannot believe that i can write an ENTIRE entry on a cockroach.
p/p/s.
-i was rather tempted to take a photo of the dead creature-To emphasize on its SIZE.
But, number one, i hardly think you guys would enjoy such a photo. And secondly, you might think i am sadistic.
Correct correct???
so the dead roach is resting peacefully in the bin..
This is my own personal writing space. I'm am free to write wadever i want, and to express meanings in my OWN way. So if YOU are NOT happy with anything i write, u can just close the window, and get out. peace.

Long Lost friend, where are u?
i was trying to search for my LONG LOST primary school friend on FRIENDSTER.. but i failed.
AHH! If only the searches could be REALLY specific, then i can list down all the details about her!! Instead of having to type in ONE sing pathetic detail resulting in hundreds of search "matches"
Well, actually i still have her home telephone number. i could ALWAYS give her a call (provided her number is still the same)
i wonder if she remembers me??
